Welcome to “Of Pomegranate & Poppy”

The Two Goddesses, Demeter and Persephone, were beloved throughout the ancient world and Their torch still burns today. In classical antiquity, They empowered women of all ages through community, relatable mythology, and religious leadership positions. In modern times, They offer us radical new narratives about trauma, survivorship, and the bonds between women.  “Of Pomegranate & Poppy” explores ancient history and modern devotion through the eyes of a Korē (maiden) priestess coming into her power. This blog is here to provide a resource to everyone- from devotees to curious seekers. All are welcome at the hearth of Persephone and Demeter, regardless of race, religion, orientation, or gender.  Consider this Their virtual temple.
